Lack of faith – or simply put, fear – and lies are blinding, and we often respond inappropriately when we are blinded. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.Īny time that we sow or let others sow fear and lies into our life, we are not choosing to walk in the light. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. If our response is hate, we are definitely in darkness. When we have fear or a lack of faith, we often feel powerless, and unloved. We are either going to put God first, or we’ll put our fears first.
